Resumo

This research aims to present an analysis of the resources available in LMS (learning management system) software in the corporate market in order to evaluate which resources are most important for Knowledge Management in companies. The analysis considered the applications of leading companies in two surveys conducted by Gartner and Forrester in 2015 and 2016. The analysis proved the close relationship between e-learning (in the case of this research, the LMS) and knowledge management. The main results highlight that training and learning tools are fundamental in the stage of obtaining and acquiring knowledge. Resources such as discussion groups, communities, online meetings, and content sharing are critical in the stage of distributing and sharing knowledge. These resources together contribute in the dissemination of knowledge around the company, as well as in the expansion of its sharing.
