Resumo: Este artigo tem a intenção de fazer ecoar o apelo lançado pelo SecretárioGeral da CNBB, Dom Dimas Lara Barbosa, na apresentação do Texto-Base da Campanhada Fraternidade 2011 a respeito da missão da Igreja samaritana no mundoque sofre. A partir de seis palavras-chave, o autor aprofunda as reflexões em torno dotema “Fraternidade e Vida no Planeta”. Cada uma dessas palavras é fundamentadaem referências bíblicas, com menção especial à parábola do samaritano, por oferecerpreciosas indicações à missão da Igreja nesta situação desafiante em que se encontraa terra, casa comum de todos os povos. As “dores de parto” pelas quais passa acriação nos interpelam à cor-responsabilidade, na viva esperança de um novo mundo.A bondade de Deus reflete-se em todas as suas criaturas. Formamos um só corpo.Estamos intimamente relacionados. A vida no planeta terra está condicionada pelaação respeitosa e solidária do ser humano com todas as coisas. A Igreja samaritanatestemunha a gratuidade de Deus pela prática do amor incondicional. Recria, emcada local, as condições para a vida digna sem exclusão.Abstract: The article intends to respond to the call heralded by the bishop DimasLara Barbosa, secretary general of the CNBB, on the occasion of the publicationof the platform concerning the CAMPANHA DA FRATERNIDADE 2011focusingon the task of the Church like the Good Samaritan in solidarity with the sufferingworld. In the light of six key-words the author delves into specific themes dealingwith “Fraternity and Life on this Planet”. Each of these words is framed bybiblical references, with special attention to the parable of the Good Samaritan.In this perspective worthwhile hints are offered to the mission of the Church inthis challenging situation of the planet as a common place for all the peoples tolive in the world. As if the earth would be suffering the pains of childbirth all thehabitants are urged to exercise their responsibility to offer better conditions for anew world. The Lord’s kindness irradiates on all creatures. We are bound togetheras one living organism in mutual relationship and solidarity. The Church has thetask to give visibility to God’s graciousness through unconditional love to Him.Thus at every place should sprout the fruits of life in dignity without restrain.
