Resumo: O artigo e um ensaio sobre a Teologia “teorica e pratica” de Dom Afonso Niehues, a partir de suas homilias e discursos, pronunciados ao longo dos 25 anos do seu pastoreio a frente da Arquidiocese de Florianopolis. Da “Teologia teorica da Vinha” ressalta: a) o Reino, como objetivo divino para o homem e para o mundo, e b) a Igreja, como o organismo humano de Deus no mundo. Quanto a “Teologia pratica do Esclarecimento”, focaliza: a) o fenomeno da secularizacao, b) o vendaval do Vaticano II, c) a missao da Igreja no campo social. Abstract: The article is an essay about “theoretical and practical” theology of Don Afonso Niehues, based on his homilies and speeches delivered during his 25 years as Bishop of Florianopolis. Concerning the “theoretical theology about the Vineyard” stress is laid (a) on Reign of God as the design of God on behalf of man and the world, and b) on the Church as a human organization in the hand of God in the world. As for the “practical theology of explanation” the focus concentrates on a) the phenomenon of secularization, b) the innovation of II Vatican Council, c) the mission of the Church in the social area.
