ResumoAbstract The region studied is situated between Gudbrandsdal and OOesterdal, in the northwest part of the sparagmite formation. The Precambrian is exposed in a fenster southwest of the Atna Archean fenster. The sequence of beds in this area differs from the Eocambrian of the type area and is barren of fossils. The units seem to be autochthonous or parautochthonous on the Precambrian, formed at the expense of the Archean. The repetition of sparagmite and dark schist at the top of the sequence suggests the presence of a nappe structure although the origin and extent of the folding is not evident.
