Faculty of Nursing University of Calgary Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship Program Participant in partnership with Aga Khan University Calgary, Alberta, Canada The author wants to acknowledge everyone who played a role in making this great internship possible: the incredible nurses in Uganda, nursing students, as well as faculty and staff at the Aga Khan University, School of Nursing and Midwifery (AKU-SONAM), Mary Namuguzi, her local supervisor, and the academic head of AKU-SONAM Joseph Mwizerwa. She also thanks Faculty of Nursing, University of Calgary, and especially Dr Shahirose Premji for this opportunity and her endless support.
