ResumoThe article aims at making in general terms an analysis of Carnival in city of Rio de Janeiro such as its creations and samba lyrics from the bonds linking history, politics and culture. In doing so, it revisits from its origins to the Samba Schools, which representations have expressed the search of consensus as well as the defense of internal order in the historical context of the military dictatorship.
