Logistics and Infrastructure Analysis

This paper aims to analyzing what happened with the competition in the state of Santa Catarina with the permission of the Private Use Terminals (TUPs). The analysis was based on the data found in scientific papers, dissertations, theses and on information provided by the National Agency for Waterway Transportation (ANTAQ in Portuguese acronym), Secretary of Ports of the Presidency of the Republic (SEP). When comparing cargo movement between the TUPs and the ports in Santa Catarina, the first took the lead since 2012. However, there are challenges to face, such as improving the state's logistics infrastructure
