This essay focuses on the movement of the avant-guarde in brazilian poetry and its development that crosses the XX century. It was used as theoretical reference the formulation of Haroldo de Campos, Philadelpho Menezes and Octavio Paz, specially the thoughts that propose a convergence of languages occurred in the last decades.
