ResumoIntegrated Management of Scrobipalpuloides absoluta (Povolny) (Lepidoptera:Gelechiidae) in the São Francisco River Region lntegrated management ofthe leafininerScrobipalpu/oides absoluta (Povolny) (Lepidoptera Gelechiidae), the main insect pest of tomato in irrigated areas of the São Francisco River, northeastern Brazil, was studied in Petrolina and Santa Maria da Boa Vista, Pernambuco State and Juazeiro, Bahia State, during 1990 and 1991, under greenhouse and field conditions.Association of several cultural, microbiological, biological, chemical and legislative methods were evaluated, being biological control the main support of this management.In 1990, the number ofdamaged fruits by S. absoluta in the field varied from 13% to 44% and parasitism by Trichogramma pretiosum Riley varied from 20 to 43%: parasitism by T pretiosum under greenhouse conditions was 68% in 1991, 1 to 9% of damaged fruits by S. absoluta were observed in the field and parasitisni by T pretiosum reached 30-49%.
