ResumoIn recent years, the interest on studies dedicated to the Queen’s Households has increased. The majority of these papers focus on the patronage networks around her. As a consequence, still little is known about the Queen’s finances and who was involved on them. This paper aims to shed some light on how was Queen Isabel of Borbon’s Household funded through exploring the major role played by the bankers. It demonstrates that, despite of the introduction of Portuguese bankers in the Royal finances in the 1620s, the Genoese nobility was still the principal group supporting Isabel of Bourbon’s Household until her death. In fact, they used their proximity to the Royal family to empower their successful career.
