ResumoPart of a research cycle aimed at rural settlements, this article aims to describe and interpret the considerations of those involved in the process of innovation adoption biodigester established between settlers- adopters of COPAVA located in the settlement Pirituba II and pesquisadores- UNESP diffusers. Through the qualitative approach, we obtained the reports of the key actors in interviews with semi-structured, focused on the knowledge and interest in this type of innovation. Interpretations not fit into three temporal stages clarified points about the process on the fulland continuous perspective, these being: Proposal for Adoption; the Introduction and the current innovation. In this experiment, it is demonstrated that despite the changes in the concepts and the complexity of biodigestivo process compared to that employed before and after the adoption, adopters are still convinced that this innovation should be expanded and incorporated into other demands of the settlers. It is concluded that the arrangement of the collective in socioproductives field as well as the relationship between confidence fruit performers from other joint projects, were decisive from the choice of innovation contribution to its appropriation. In addition, it showed, according to the weights of the subjects, taking with reference to credibility to spread innovation among other farmers, evidence that express forms of social solidarity.
