ResumoA 6-year-old male patient presented with a painless tumoral lesion in the left side of mandible and lock jaw. Clinical exam showed swelling in the left side of the face causing facial asymmetry. Panoramic radiograph showed a multilocular radiolucent area, involving the mandible's base. An incisional biopsy of the lesion revealed desmoplastic fibroma. A segmental resection of the affect area was performed preserving alveolar bone. The patient remains under observation for 1 year and until now there are no signs of recurrence. Supported by FAPEMIG.
