ResumoThis work analyzes the two following short stories Aqueles dois by Caio Fernando Abreu and Ipanema blues by Waldir Leite. The former shows how he deals with homoerotism by using a lyrical language, more sugestive than descriptive, while the latter uses a rough language emphasizing sexual scenes details. Caio Fernando Abreu’s short story, published in the 80’s of last century, presents people’s discriminatory and repressive behaviour whenever focing homoerotic relationship themes. This prejudice also emerges from the lacks of maturity of the society during that time concerning to homossexualism. On the other hand, Waldir Leite’s short story is directed exclusively to the gay public without any concessions to please heterossexual public by using a language oscillating from erotism to pornography and by presenting a writing stye that does not cover up with modesty veils the accomplishment of the characters’ body desire.
