The article deals with the role assigned to the Public Defender of the Union in the enforcement of sentences and security measures. The methodology used part of the analysis of the constitutional and legal foundations of its operations. Below we will analyze the prerogatives conferred on the public defender, highlighting the important role given to the Union Public Defender. It is hoped that this work can contribute to guide law enforcement officers about the importance of the subject, as well as contribute to develop the legal assistance.
