ResumoA short interpretation of the poem “Passagem da noite” by CarlosDrummond de Andrade, written on the poems book A rosa do povo, of 1945. The chosen way for the interpretation text follows the direction of the two opposite poles found inDrummond’s poetry, MY OWN versus THE WORLD, especially at this book. Ourobjective is to demonstrate how Drummond works with these two perspectives. If in somepoems, the poet chooses only one of the poles, as in “Versos a boca da noite”, in“Passagem da noite” we find a kind of harmony or maybe, a conflict.Brazilian Modernism – poetry – Drummond.
