ResumoTwo egg-carrying females of Pilumnopeus iudicus (De MAN) were collected near the tide marks of rocky shore around Omaezaki, Shizuoka Pref., in June, 1979. Larvae were reared from hatching to megalopa stage under temperature conditions varying from 23.5℃ to 24.5℃. Zoea follows four stages before changing into megalopa stage. Each zoeal stage is figured and described in detail, and compared with equivalent stage of several species belonging to the subfamily Pilumninae. The zoeae of this species can be distinguished from those of the other Pilumnids by having a minute rostral and a dorsal spines on the carapace, and the antenna II of the type A_3 (AIKAWA, 1929, 1933).
