This article reports on the results of a research project entitled 'KARAVOI. The Ship Graffiti on the Medieval Monuments of Cyprus: Mapping, Documentation and Digitisation', during which 233 ship graffiti were recorded in 44 different monuments on the island, dating from the 15th to the 20th centuries. Innovative recording techniques have been used to mitigate the effects of the subjective or partial recording of graffiti lines on tracing paper. Un análisis preliminar de grafitis medievales de embarcaciones en Chipre Este artículo reporta los resultados de un proyecto de investigación titulado "KARAVOI. Los grafitis de embarcaciones en los monumentos medievales de Chipre: mapeo, documentación y digitalización". Durante este proyecto se registraron 233 grafitis de embarcaciones que datan de los siglos XV a XX y están localizados en 44 monumentos diferentes en la isla. Se emplearon técnicas de registro innovadoras que mitigan los efectos del registro subjetivo o parcial de las líneas de los grafitis en el papel de dibujo. Aparte del estudio de los grafitis de embarcaciones como fuentes iconográficas, se enfatizó particularmente en el contexto geográfico y social, a través de un análisis comprensivo de los tipos de grafiti y su distribución espacial en los monumentos, así como la localización de estos últimos en la isla.
