Panteísmo ou Teopantismo? Fontes e caráter do discurso místico de Leonardo Boff e Frei Betto

ResumoResumo: Este artigo apresenta as fontes teóricas e as principais característicasdo discurso místico de Leonardo Boff e Frei Betto. Partindo do estudo deum texto conjunto dos dois autores e utilizando como recurso a “análise deconteúdo”, constata-se presença de quatro fontes principais neste discurso: amística católica clássica, a mística católica contemporânea, a mística oriental eo pensamento ecológico-cosmológico contemporâneo (mística secular). O artigodescreve cada uma destas fontes e recorre a Rudolf Otto para caracterizar estediscurso como uma mística de tipo “teopantista”.Palavras chave: Teologia dalibertação, mística, Leonardo Boff, Frei Betto.Abstract: The present article discusses the theoretical bases and the maincharacteristics of Leonardo Boff and frei Betto’s mystical discourse. Using thecontent analysis technique as a tool and taking as a satrting point the study ofa text written by both authors, we see the presence of these main influences intheir work: the classical catholic mystic, the contemporary catholic mystic, theoriental mystic and the secular mystic (contemporary ecological-cosmologicalthought).The article describes each one of the influences and uses Rudolf Ottoto characterize the former discourse as a mystic of the “theopanthist” kind.Keywords: liberation theology, mystic, pantheism, “theopantheism”, sociology ofmystic.
