ResumoAbstract Geologic mapping shows that the region between Letourneux and Bordj-bou-Arreridj, Algeria, is underlain by several superposed nappes emplaced as a result of gravitational sliding. Eight units are distinguished, corresponding to displaced masses composed of material characterized by a progressively deeper facies. The nappes, derived from the north, were emplaced during the lower Miocene.
