Resumo

This article discusses the problem of religious intolerance by adopting as premises its ontological-existential roots of identityalterity, self and other polarity. It takes as an example political facts of the current quotidian in order to question the limits of the Secularism of the Brazilian State. It looks with optimism at the growth of research and discussions at the Academy that involve the religious theme whose demand comes from the dynamism of the "field", which is activated according to the official data of the state census survey (IBGE).In the Amazon, especially, within the scope of religious is illustrative of the diversity of sacred beliefs and behaviors that make up the Brazilian mosaic, both from the point of view of Christianity and the smaller and "invisible" groups facing the media.I concluded based on the thesis of the Portuguese Hellenist Eudoro de Sousa, the man in his adamic genesis, refused to live in Paradise for not accepting the world that was not built with his own hands and continues to follow and persist in his archetypal way of estrangement.
