Resumo: O artigo reflete sobre o sentido da Liturgia como formadora de“missionários de Jesús Cristo”, a partir das orações e ritos da própria Liturgia.Começa pesquisando o nexo entre “Liturgia e Missão”, apresentando a seguir aLiturgia como “fonte de espiritualidade do missionário”. Finalmente, depois derefletir sobre “os desafios para a Liturgia a partir da missão”, conclui com as“contribuições da Liturgia para a missão continental”. Dessa forma, a Liturgia ea Missão devem ser vividas na unidade do mistério. Não tem sentido justapor,opor, ou preferir, uma a outra. A Igreja não é uma quando celebra a Liturgia eoutra quando proclama o Evangelho. Não tem uma face voltada para Deus eoutra voltada para a humanidade. Sua missão é ser o rosto de Deus no qual oshomens podem reconhecer Aquele a quem procuram e, na mesma luz, ser orosto dos homens que reflete a glória de Deus.Abstract: The article intends to specify the significance of the Liturgy, whoseprayers and rituals are inspiring the faithful to become missionaries in thefootsteps of Jesus Christ. Beginning with the nexus between liturgy and mission,the theme focused upon is the liturgy as the source of the missionary spirituality,followed by the presentation of the challenges, which the liturgy faces in theaftermaths of the missionary activity and finally summing up the positive resultsof the liturgy on the mission on this continent. In this perspective, liturgy andmission are to be interrelated in a vivid experience of God’s presence in theworld. There are not juxtapositions, oppositions, or preferences, since the Churchis not subdivided in stages, such as the celebration of the liturgy and theproclamation of the Gospel, since there is no opposition between the regardtowards God and the focus directed towards humankind. The central aim is theview towards God in whose light humankind may recognize both the One ofwhom they are in pursuit and He who comes forward to meet those who are theimage of God’s likeness.
