Resumo

One of the tendencies of Brazilian television fiction, according to Rondelli (1998), is to be contaminated by the themes of reality, turning more to naturalistic realism than to melodramatic sentimentality.Analyzes about the subject, according to Lopes ( 2009), usually consider the pattern of teledramaturgy from Globo.This work, in turn, intends to discuss how the SBT appropriates the resources of the melodrama in its national content dedicated to children and pre-adolescents, a segment little explored by broadcasters.For this, the soap opera Carrossel (2012-2013) is analyzed, observing the communicative and cultural dimensions and highlighting their contexts of creation, production and enjoyment.Using Stylistics as a methodology, based on the researches by Pucci Júnior (2014a, 2014b) and Rocha (2014Rocha ( , 2016)), this paper aims to contribute scientifically to the critical and methodological improvement of the Television Studies.
