ResumoIdentifying the perceptions and difficulties encountered in the daily life of the teaching profession is the central objective of this research, which has teacher training as its theme.To do this, the following methodological course was followed: the elaboration of the instruments, the selection of the field and the subjects (nine beginner teachers who work in Elementary School I in public and private schools).Based on the results it was possible to identify that: the collective moments of discussion and reflection in the school are small; Some teachers are not clear about the knowledge of the profession; There is no policy to encourage continuing education; Besides the majority recognize that the time of the initial formation was insufficient.
