Resumo: O autor se propõe aprofundar a proposta da Conferência de Aparecida, emrelação ao Diaconado Permanente. Ele constata que os diáconos permanentes, querenascem pelo Concílio Vaticano II, encontram, no documento dessa Conferência, ena perspectiva de uma Igreja missionária, servidora e pascal, profundas motivaçõespara a sua vida e ministério. Após uma Introdução, ele mostra em que consiste esteSacramento, que, com o presbiterado e o episcopado, é um dos três graus desse “sacramentodo ministério apostólico”. Analisa os três “múnus” do Diaconado: o de ensinar,o de santificar, e o de reger, todos exercidos no espírito de serviço que caracteriza oCristo Servo. Especificamente em Aparecida, a Igreja espera dos diáconos um verdadeirotestemunho evangélico e renovado espírito missionário, a partir do âmbito familiar.Recomenda também a unidade do corpo diaconal, a ser promovida pela Comissãodiocesana dos diáconos. Para corresponderem à sua missão, eles devem receberesmerada formação específica, que os capacite para a tríplice diaconia da Palavra,da Liturgia, e da Caridade. Cabe-lhes especialmente a coordenação e o incentivo daspastorais sociais. Na conclusão menciona os testemunhos belíssimos do trabalho dosdiáconos permanentes em nosso país e em toda a América – Latina.Abstract: The author aims at studying in detail the proposal of the Conference at Aparecida,concerning the Permanent Diaconate. He finds out that the permanent deacons,came to be active again through the Council of Vatican II. They are privileged to find solidmotivations for their life and ministry from this Conference and from the perspective ofthe Church engaged in its mission of service and redemption transmitted to them by theresurrected Christ at Easter. After the Introduction he shows that this sacrament, togetherwith the priesthood and the bishopric, is one of the three degrees of “the sacrament ofthe apostolic ministry”. He analyses the three stages of the diaconate which is to teach,to sanctify, and to engage all the faithful in the service and to characterize Christ theservant of God. Specifically in the Conference of Aparecida, the Church hopes to receivefrom the deacons the true witness of the Gospel and the renewed missionary spirit in themidst of a family environment. It recommends as well the unity of the ministerial bodyof the deacons to be fostered by the diocesan commission of the diaconate. In order torespond to their mission they should receive a solid formation regarding their threefoldministry to the Word, Liturgy, and Charity. It is their specific job to be of service to thesocial apostolate. In conclusion mention is made to the praiseworthy apostolate of thepermanent deacons in this country and all over in Latin America.
