O domingo é um dos valores fundamentais da vida cristã. Nele seconcentram, como que em sacramento semanal, cheio de riqueza, a centralidadede Jesus e sua Páscoa, a experiência comunitária da Igreja, a celebraçãoda palavra de Deus e da eucaristia como construtores dessa comunidade. Odomingo, por excelência, é o dia da comunidade, o dia da palavra, o dia da eucaristia.É o “dia dos dias”, o dia mais importante da semana, o dia da liturgia,da celebração dos mistérios de Cristo à luz da vida dos crentes, em meio aoclima festivo do encontro, do banquete eucarístico. É o dia primordial da festados cristãos, o dia fundamento da semana e do ano civil e litúrgico. Em tododomingo pode-se cantar: “Este é o dia que o Senhor fez para nós. Alegremonose nele exultemos!” (Sl 117,24). O domingo sempre foi e sempre será umelemento qualificante da identidade cristã.Palavras-chave: Domingo. Comunidade. Palavra. Eucaristia.Abstract: Sunday is one of the fundamental values of the christian life. In itconcentrate, as if in weekly sacrament, full of wealth, the centrality of Jesus andhis Passover, the communal experience of the Church, the celebration of theword of God and the Eucharist as builders of this community. Sunday is the dayof the community, the day of the word, the day of the Eucharist. It is the “day ofdays”, the most important day of the week, the day of the liturgy, the celebrationof the mysteries of Christ in the light of the life of believers, amidst the festiveatmosphere of the encounter and the Eucharistic banquet. It is the primordial dayof the feast of christians, the foundation day of the week and the calendar andliturgical year. Every Sunday we can sing: “This is the day the Lord has madefor us. Let us rejoice and rejoice in him!”(Ps 117,24). Sunday has always beenand always will be a qualifying element of christian identity.Keywords: Sunday. Community. Word. Eucharist.
