Resumo

This article aims to identifie the colective representations about the peruvian national team campaign at Word Cup hosted in Argentina in 1978, troughout vehicles of brazilian and argentine press.Since being a good surprise in the first round of the tournament until the controversy trashed 6x0 that qualified the argentines to the final, the peruvian team was an important character at the event and occupied a big media space at the researched journals and magazines.
