ResumoThis essay aims to make a theoretical review about the concept of nature and how this concept is implicated Rural Education. Thus, the focus focuses on the historical and evolutionary perspective on the concept of nature and, later, is complemented with the theoretical contributions of the Rural Education. Firstly, the evolution of the concept of nature in the field of philosophy, as an advent in the emergence of sciences and mathematics, is aimed at facilitating the perception of the integration of man with the space in which he lives, so that it is a relation of harmony conscious of the dynamic balance of nature by providing, through new knowledge, attitudes and values, the insertion of educating and educating as citizens in the process of transformation of the current environmental picture of our planet. In this perspective, it is important to understand how the concept of nature is implicated in Rural Education, since the rural environment continues without a battle scene, and the education of the field emerges as an element that allows the construction of a sense of belonging in the subjects involved in the educational process.
