ResumoAbstract Intravenous immunoglobulin ( IVI g) is a purified plasma product that is used for many immune‐deficient conditions and autoimmune conditions. Use of IVI g for treatment for Kawasaki disease ( KD ) is critical for control of inflammation. The American Heart Association ( AHA ) recommends a single infusion of 2 g/kg preferably given during the first 10 days of illness. In this review, we have discussed the possible mechanisms of action of IVI g in KD and its clinical usage in this condition.
