ResumoPreparation of thick films on surfaces of available shapes is of great importance for the applications of the magnetic shield. But, commonly, during the sintering process, copper oxide films have high chemical activity with substrate materials and result in poor superconductivity. This paper shows that superconducting Y-Ba-Cu-O thick film on multiple buffered layers made of the same material (non-superconductivity) has positive characteristics of superconductivity at high temperature along with reduction of thermal stress. The developed process has allowed for a non-calcined mixture to be used instead of the common calcined mixtures. The present paper examines the preparation conditions of Y-Ba-Cu-O thick films and the effect of Ag in Y-Ba-Cu-O thick films with content Ag of several percent.
