Resumo

Starting from the understanding of the tattoos as discursive texts, our objective is to produce a reading of the Farroupilha's flag tattoo materialized in the body of a given subject, in the context of Farroupilha's Week, from the meanings that it allows us.Our studies are anchored in the Discourse Analysis (AD) of Pêcheux's affiliation, and by it we can observe how the body of the tattooed subject functions as a place of memory, in so far as in it that speeches materialize. It is also our interest the implications arising from the consolidation of a Farroupilha's imaginary that, by the repetition of meanings derived from a region of knowledge, feeds what is memorable for a social group, whether the inhabitants of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.In this way, we understand that the senses are not only in the drawing/image that the tattoo represents but are in consonance with the imaginary, the unconscious, the conditions of production and the memory that the subject mobilizes.Mobilization that occurs at the moment he makes the tattoo. So we have the guiding question of the study: how does the Farroupilha's flag tattoo contribute to the retrieval of meanings from another historical moment? Thus, seeking to understand the function of the discursiveness present in the tattoo in question, we seek attached in the notion of discursive memory as a category of analysis.
