ResumoResumo: Fraternidade e Amazônia, tema da Campanha da Fraternidade de2007, é uma rica oportunidade para repensar o Brasil a partir dos seus seis“berços de vida”, os biomas, retomando a história longa da terra, da biodiversidadee da vida humana, aprofundando a crítica dos projetos colonialistas,ainda dominantes, e reforçando os projetos de convivência sustentável comcada bioma. A retomada da teologia da Criação, e da Recriação, em JesusCristo, iluminam a realidade e ajudam a firmar práticas de solidariedade emfavor da Nova Amazônia desejada por seus povos e estimula a “amazonizar”os demais biomas.Abstract: The themes of this year’s Campaign of the Church in Brazil focuse onfraternity extending to the people of the Amazon region. It will be an enrichingexperience for all concerned by taking into account the six “cradles of life” onthis planet (rivers, forests, desert, pastures, air, water) dealing with the historyof living beings on earth, the problem of biodiversity, and human life. Specialattention is to be given to a discernment of colonial projects still in vogue and theattempt to reinforce projects of a sustainable way of life in conjunction with eachenvironmental surrounding. New insights will arise from the theology of creationand redemption by Jesus Christ which will give rise to initiatives of solidaritytowards the people living in the Amazon region.
