TRAZADO DE CURVAS DE POTENCIA DE UNA TURBINA EÓLICA DE EJE VERTICAL CON GEOMETRÍA VARIABLE

ResumoespanolEn este trabajo se describe el diseno y las primeras pruebas de una turbina eolica de eje vertical con geometria variable, disenado y construido integramente en la Facultad de Ingenieria y Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Universidad Nacional de San Luis - Argentina. Los ensayos de laboratorio, tendientes a conocer el comportamiento integral y determinar los valores de potencia que puede entregar el dispositivo se realizaron en un tunel de viento sometiendo al prototipo a diferentes condiciones operativas. De esta manera se obtuvieron algunos parametros caracteristicos de las turbinas eolicas y principalmente las curvas de potencia a viento constante para distintas configuraciones de carga. Los valores obtenidos se muestran en las curvas correspondientes, extrayendose como principales conclusiones el valor de potencia maxima, y las graficas mencionadas con anterioridad, lo que da un conocimiento del funcionamiento real de la turbina. EnglishIn this work the design and the first tests of a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine with variable Geometry, which was entirely designed and built in the Faculty of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences of the National University of San Luis - Argentina is described. The laboratory tests, which aimed at knowing the comprehensive performance and determining the power values that the device is able to produce, were performed in a wind tunnel where the device was subjected to different operating conditions. In this way, it was possible obtain some characteristic parameters of the wind turbine and especially built power charts with wind at constant speed and diverse loading configurations. The values obtained are shown in the corresponding curves and it is possible obtain, as main conclusions, the maximum power value as well as the graphs mentioned above, which gives an understanding of the actual operation of the turbine.
