ResumoBackground: Haemodialysis (HD) is known to improve cardiac lunclion in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD).However, the mechanism behind such improvement is not entirely known though animal data have provided evidence thal changes in loading conditions certainly play a decisive role. However, the impact el background diseases in this setting is also not known. We propose thal tissue velocity echocardiography (TVE) oilers a rapid, bedside choice to follow changes in global myocardial lunctions in patients with ESRD with or without Type 2 diabetes (DM) and coronary artery disease (CAD).
