ResumoThis paper presents a case study for the design and implementation of a pilot E-Learning laboratory experiments for Communication Engineering students at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) in Jordan. Motivated by the Erasmus+ EU project, Improving Higher Education Quality in Jordan using Mobile Technologies for Better Integration of Disadvantaged Groups to Socio-Economic Diversity (mEquity) (This paper is part of mEquity ERASMUS $$^+$$ PROGRAMME, Project $$N^o$$ : 561527-EPP-1-2015-1-BG-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP.). A target group of students with physical and/or socio-economic disabilities has been selected to improve their learning skills. Surveys conducted among teachers and students at the planning phase have shown great interest towards creating such a platform for laboratories. Interestingly, the lab being developed covers experiments taught at the Communication Engineering Lab in PSUT which are not based on available online solutions. Moreover, a statistical assessment for the impact of the pilot experiments in the designed lab on the learning process was conducted using a pre and post questionnaires. The assessment has shown significant improvement after students got acquainted with the provided system.
