Resumo

This paper describes two new methods of testing stereopsis. The Lang stereotest which is used to assess stereopsis at 40 cm. without the use of any dissociating glasses and the Braddick random-dot slides which are used in conjunction with a major amblyoscope. The results obtained with these tests are compared with more well known tests, e.g. the Titmus stereotest, T.N.O. test, A.O. Vectograph and with slides from the Clement Clarke Ltd. series “D” major ambloyscope slides for stereopsis, in an attempt to assess their place in the investigation of binocular function.
