The Scorpio engine continues the trend of incorporating some of the largest consumer chip designs in entertainment consoles. It is the SoC at the heart of the Xbox One X. Its 7 billion transistors comprise a CPU, a GPU, and other components coupled with a 12- or 24-Gbyte GDDR5 main memory system with 326 Gbytes per second of bandwidth. These provide more than 400 percent greater graphics performance than the preceding Xbox One and Xbox One S systems.
