ResumoIn today's world, where economic, social and technological transformations are very frequent, organizations need their members to be willing to follow these changes in order to achieve their goals.The evolution of society suggests the evolution of the individual / organization relationship.This study had as general objective to investigate how official officers of the Military Command of the Northeast have perceived the change in the culture of the Brazilian Army (BA).The methodology chosen for the development of the research was the qualitative, exploratory, descriptive and case study.The data were collected through interviews by staff, non-participating direct observations and documents.For the analysis of the data was used content analysis (BARDIN, 2011).It can be concluded that most interviewees recognize the change in BA culture, especially regarding homosexuality, discipline and tradition, as well as femininity.As to the meanings of change, one understands it as challenging; others see it as progressive.As for resistances, they are concentrated, especially against homosexuality and femininity.As for perceived opportunities, they were characterized as progressive and frustrating.
