ResumoMARIA TERESA HORTA AND LEONOR DE ALMEIDA PORTUGAL: FROM THE GRAIN OF LIGHT TO THE GRAIN OF POMEGRANATE… The art of fitting stories into other stories is as old as human creativity itself. A seductive technique as it allows the reader to jump from one chess literary piece to another, without losing the thread. Maria Teresa Horta assembles in The lights of Leonor (2011) a mosaic of real/imaginary situations, leading the reader into the most secret existential labyrinths of Marquise of Alorna, her grandmother, a melting pot of poetic prose and integral poetry, in which each sentence is a verse and each paragraph is a strophe.
