Resumoevaluated the cases of diabetic nephropathy that had indication to perform biopsy, that is, those with more serious manifestations. This study is important because, though common, there is a long way to go through in understanding diabetic nephropathy. In our study only cases of isolated DN were analysed, and all the biopsies with DN and other superimposed NDRD were excluded, which is commonly a limiting factor when we try to understand this disease.
