The practice of the tourist activity results in complex implications for the receiving locality. The impacts may be positive, however, in areas of environmental protection tourism can cause impacts that are difficult to reverse. Tourism planning serves as a tool for research, analysis and adequacy of effective actions to better use the benefits of tourism. Starting from a systemic perspective of tourism, a study was proposed to diagnose the sociocultural impacts of the practice of tourism in the Foz do Rio Sao Francisco in the APA of Piacabucu / AL. Therefore, we focus on the social relations established by the practice of tourism and its impacts on an approach from post-colonial studies. In this way, it was possible to observe the impacts caused by tourism from a different perspective, which helps us to deepen discussions about how the local population is related to tourism and how its benefits can be enjoyed by it
