ResumoThe Royal Tenenbaums (2001), directed by Wes Anderson, takes the form of a storybook where writing plays a key role. Many characters use writing either literally or metaphorically throughout the film. Embedded within the narrative, acts of authorship become a way for characters to find a path forward to narrate and “work through” family betrayals and traumas, and find their way to a space of eventual forgiveness and love.
