ResumoThe aim of this study is to observe the narrative voice's behavior in Floriant et Florete, an arthurian romance dating back to the end of the thirteenth century, in order to see if and how it can be an index of subjectivism, have effects on the narrative structure of the work, and may provide clues as to how the work is performed. Probably, the results of the analysis may also be valid for other romances contemporary with Floriant et Florete and contribute to the framing of the evolution of the arthurian romance at the end of the thirteenth century.
