ResumoThe Environmental Education is one of the orientation tools for the electric outlet of conscience of the individuals front to the environmental problems. The school as agent of changes in the society, has great influence in the people's life and in what is concerned the preservation of the environment, she can develop projects to get better and to become aware your students that is necessary to be careful with the environment and to invest in a more qualified education. Therefore, this work had as objective verifies as the theme environment has been worked by the teachers of the fundamental teaching II and medium teaching in the municipal district of Brejo dos Santos-PB. For that a form of eight subjects was applied fifteen teachers of Portuguese's disciplines, Mathematics, History, Geography, Sciences and Biology of the schools in study. With the accomplished analysis, it can be concluded that a valorization exists in the theory on the part of the professionals, however there is not an important practicality in the educational and social context, should have an understanding and an appropriate training to work the theme environment in the schools.
