Resumo

Software-Defined Network is a nascent emerging architecture that provides solutions to most of the challenges in traditional networks. It is a model for heterogeneous integration of different network devices. It separates control logic from the network devices, leaving the devices with only data-forwarding responsibilities. It makes configuration and management of the network simpler, manageable, and provides flexibility for various innovative network designs. Conclusively, it increases the overall performance of the network. This article provides a comprehensive survey of different issues in SDN. We discuss various research areas in SDN. Our target is to introduce a newbie to this emerging field of SDN and make him aware of various issues available for research in this field.
