ResumoThe article clarified the concept of based on the analysis of definitions of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of economy and production management. Highlight key risk classification according to the sources, the factors or reasons of danger / damage on the facilities of vulnerability to hazards on the scale / level of danger / effects, on the basis of their proposed risk classification by activity of the enterprise. The interrelation of risk factors, types of risk and their impact on the enterprise. The analysis of the effect of risk factors on the activities of the leading Russian enterprises of mechanical engineering - «AvtoVAZ» and OJSC «KAMAZ». A brief description of species and risk factors, shows the degree of their impact (high, medium, low) on the activity of the enterprises of mechanical engineering. The basic shortcomings in the industrial risk management system. A risk management system through insurance as the most economically viable method for providing compensation for the losses of all kinds.
