ResumoThis article is part of a wider research on the role of the press of national circulation during the first four years of the Argentine Revolution (1966-1970). And the objective is to analyze the position that three newspapers - La Prensa, Clarín and La Nación - assumed in the face of the fall of the government of Juan Carlos Onganía (1970). We consider the media as diffusers of social imaginary and political actors, with the ability to influence decision making in a political system. For the analysis of the positioning of each journal we use tools from the critical discourse analysis.
