ResumoThe strategy of the United States of America, the sole super-power in the world after the disintegration of the USSR, is being changed formally after each change on the top of their administration (election of new presidents of the USA). These changes are, however, rather minor ones because the national aims of the USA remain unchanged. In the situation where it is not possible to defeat the adversary by sheer superiority of the human factor the technology is being resorted to, in which domain the USA enjoy a significant advantage. Particular attention is therefore paid to the utilization of new technologies, such as: 'invisible' or not easily detectable combat equipment and weapons, 'intelligent weapons', ballistic anti-rocket defense, and utilization of cosmic space for military purposes. Therefore the USA, in addition to a wide application of non-military forms of endangerment of security of small countries, proceed with the development of high performance equipment and weapons, which make possible the reduction of numerical strength of their armed forces while not reducing their abilities to wage wars on several fronts, i.e. in several regions, simultaneously.
