The qualitative research in Administration has been gaining great expressiveness and transversality from the most diverse areas of knowledge.The analysis of videos and photographs within the qualitative research allow the recognition of symbolic construction, meanings and representativeness of the subjects.This article aims to present the importance of photography and videos for the qualitative research of the Administration, evidencing how these resources can contribute with new looks on the frontier territory.Based on data triangulation, the series Traffic Frontiers (Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay), created by "Jornal da Record", and some photographs were analyzed.The results show that the TV news programs see the frontier as an ending, an extremely dangerous area with little border control.This view is not shared by the population living on the border.
