ResumoThe fashion journalism has past for many changes across the history. Your contest goes beyond the clothing boundaries and direct the public to an universe that clothing part have meaning when allied to culture, behavior and feminine body. Thus, the fashion magazine becomes an essential material for the study of society, assisting in proving the construction of the identity of woman, This study aims to evaluate the aesthetic standards established by the magazine Vogue Brazil by means of the content analysis method in order to understand the social role of the magazine. However, it should be stressed that the media are only one piece in the operation of collectivity and social relations. The society and its cultural processes, including the fashion trend, also help in thes practice. Thus, Vogue Brazil, allied to the social system, interferes in the construction of the feminine identity, establishing and disseminating aesthetic standards. However, it can be seen that the processes has been evolved over the years and the magazines has addressed important social patterns such as freedom of gender, women's empowerment and representativeness
