ResumoPRODUTIVIDADE SAZONAL DE KALANCHOE CULTIVADO EM AMBIENTE PROTEGIDO E SUBMETIDO A ESTRATÉGIAS DE IRRIGAÇÃO Fátima Cibele Soares1; Marcia Xavier Peiter1; Adroaldo Dias Robaina1; Ana Rita Costenaro Parizi1; Cleiton José Ramão21Departamento de Engenharia Rural, Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Santa Maria, RS, fatimacibele@yahoo.com.br2Universidade Federal do Pampa, Itaqui, RS 1 RESUMO O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a resposta do Kalanchoe, cultivares Debbie e Gold Jewel, cultivadas em distintas épocas do ano e sob diferentes regimes de irrigação, para a região de Santiago-RS. O experimento foi conduzido em estufa com sistema de refrigeração, onde foram aplicadas subirrigações com variação do tempo de fornecimento e altura de lâmina para conjuntos de plantas transplantadas mensalmente, desde outubro/05 até abril/06. Nos tratamentos, foram testadas as lâminas de 1, 2, e3 cmde altura, combinadas com tempos de disponibilização de lâmina aos vasos de 2, 6 e 12 minutos. Os resultados demonstraram que o florescimento das plantas é relacionado à incidência de radiação solar dentro do ambiente protegido e não somente aos dias curtos, visto esta relação, verificou-se nesta safra uma redução no florescimento. Diante dos resultados pode-se concluir que a cultivar Debbie demonstrou maior sensibilidade à ocorrência de alta irradiação solar, reduzindo em maior escala seu florescimento quando comparada à cultivar Gold Jewel. SEASONAL PRODUCTIVITY OF KALANCHOE GROWN UNDER CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT USING DIFFERENT IRRIGATION STRATEGIES 2 ABSTRACT The objective of this work was to evaluate the response of Kalanchoe, Debbie and Gold Jewel cultivars, grown in different seasons of the year, to different irrigation strategies, in the region ofSantiago- RS. The experiment was carried out under greenhouse conditions using a refrigeration system. Subirrigation systems at different time periods and water levels were used for groups of plants which were transplanted monthly from October 2005 to April 2006. The treatments tested water levels of 1, 2, and3 cmassociated with different times (2, 6 and 12 minutes) of water level availability. The results showed that the blossom period in plants is also related to the incidence of solar radiation on protected environment, and not only to short days. Therefore, a shortening of the blossom period was observed in this season. Higher sensitivity to solar radiation and more reduced blossom period were observed in cultivar Debbie as compared to cultivar Gold Jewel.
